Inspiration Organization

Hello! Em here again! Monday I shared they way I organize all of my online inspiration. Today I wanted to show you how I share all my "real life" inspiration! I have a bit of a collection problem. Any time I see anything that inspires me (mostly out of catalogs and magazines) I must rip it out and save it. It's pretty ridiculous how much I have. I like everything...clothes, home goods, kids stuff. There is really no rhyme or reason to what might inspire me on any given day!

Every so often, I will take a little time to go through and crop all the items or toss the ones that are no longer inspiring to me. I then stick them in my inspiration "book" which is just a blank book from Borders. I have a couple of them... ;) I also do the same thing with layouts from scrapbooking magazines. It comes in handy when I'm in need of some quick inspiration! Here are some pages from my book. As you can see, it's a pretty big mismatch of stuff, but that's how I like it! :) How do you store your "real life" inspiration?

  1. Love it, Em! I have a LARGE file folder full of ripped-out inspiration from magazines too...looks like it's time to get it organized in a more useable way! :)

  4. Cool, Em. I've been trying to scan things in as I tear them out. Otherwise, I just end up throwing out the pile when it gets too big.

  5. Em, you have good taste! I always mean to do something like this and never do. Any tips for that? ;)
